Rental FAQ

We are currently only providing rentals in Carillon Beach, Florida.

Requests & Reservations

Renting a golf cart from us is simple! We process all of our rental requests and reservations online and you will pay for your rental and sign your electronic rental contract online through our guided form (see below for more details on making a reservation). We bring your rental cart to your Carillon Beach address on your selected start date, typically between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. While we strive to deliver carts early in the day, factors like cart pick-ups, inspections, and cleaning for our next delivery take time, especially during peak season. Your cart will be labeled with an identification number on the front and back, and your keys will be placed in the cup holder. The charging cord, along with an orange extension reel, will be in the back storage area of the cart. Our team will notify you of your cart number on your delivery day. On your rental end date, you will need to have the cart ready for pick-up by 8 AM. We come back to pick up your designated cart to inspect, clean, and prep it for our next renters!

Renting a golf cart is one of the best ways to get around Carillon Beach and enjoy everything the community has to offer. With convenient golf cart parking near the pools, beach walkovers, and other amenities, a cart makes it easy to get around without the hassle of walking long distances.

It's especially helpful if you're staying in a house or condo that's farther from the beach or if you plan on carrying beach gear, coolers, or other items. Plus, cruising through Carillon Beach in a golf cart adds to the fun of your vacation!

Keep in mind that our rental carts must stay in the Carillon Beach Neighborhood at all times. You are not able to take the carts off Carillon Beach property.

Every golf cart rental reservation starts with submitting a request on our website. Our staff reviews each request to ensure we can accommodate based on cart availability and scheduling. Requests are processed during our business hours and are not reviewed immediately. You will recieve an email confirmation that your request has been submitted. 

Once we've reviewed your request:
• If your request is approved, we'll send you two emails:
     1. An invoice for payment
     2. An electronic rental contract with your submission details
• Or, you'll be notified via email if we need any changes or if we're unable to accommodate

Important: Your reservation is not confirmed until both your payment and signed contract have been submitted.
We cannot hold a cart without both.

We recommend selecting your check-in date as your cart delivery date, even if check-in starts at 4 PM. Our 6-day and 7-day rental rates are the same, so selecting your check-in date ensures the cart is ready and waiting for you upon arrival. For example, if you're checking in on Saturday and checking out the following Saturday, choosing your check-in date allows you to get the most out of your rental.

If you choose a delivery date after your arrival, please note that we cannot guarantee a specific delivery time. Our delivery hours are 8 AM to 4 PM.

We recommend selecting your check-out date as your cart pick-up date. This ensures you have the cart for the full duration of your stay. This day does not count towards your rental and you will not be able to use your cart on the pick-up day. All carts must be ready for pick-up by 8 AM.

The earlier, the better—we recommend submitting your request at least 4-6 weeks before your arrival, especially for summer dates. Please wait to submit your request until you're ready to pay. Submitting a request does not hold a cart and availability can change quickly.

We accept rental requests during the current calendar year, and requests for the next year open each January.

Tip: For cart rentals in June & July, request a golf cart rental as soon as your trip is finalized. Carillon Beach has a golf cart limit and does sell out during peak season! 

Head’s up for 4th of July week:
This is our busiest week of the year and typically sells out months in advance. We recommend submitting your request as soon as your travel plans are confirmed.

Same-day requests/reservations are not guaranteed. If approved, we will try to get a cart to you as soon as we are able to. Our cart delivery hours are 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Please note: We do not process same-day requests on Sundays.

We have a 2 day minimum for cart rentals. Depending on the season and availability, 1 day rentals can be considered on a case by case basis.

Can rentals be extended?: Depending on the time of year and our availability, golf cart rentals can be extended. To guarantee your rental cart, make sure to request the same dates as your trip to Carillon Beach!

Here is our cancellation policy:

*8 Days or More: Cancellations to reservations made at least 8 days before your scheduled delivery date will be refunded, minus a $100 administrative fee to cover processing costs and logistics.

*Less Than 8 Days: Cancellations made less than 8 days before your scheduled delivery date are non-refundable.

*Weather-Related Exceptions: In the event of a mandatory hurricane evacuation, your rental cart will be picked up prior to your rental end date and you will be refunded for any unused days of your rental period. The $100 administrative fee may be waived in these circumstances.

*Change Requests: Date or cart changes are subject to availability. If we cannot accommodate your request, the cancellation policy will apply.

The only weather-related exception to standard cancellation policy is in regards to mandatory evacuations. If Bay County orders a mandatory evacuation due to a major hurricane, we will be picking up the rental carts and the remainder of your rental period will be refunded. Otherwise, our cancellation policy applies.

No, Coastal Cars & Carts is not located inside Carillon Beach, but we provide exclusive golf cart rentals for the Carillon Beach community.

Delivery & Pick-up

Rental carts are typically delivered between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM on your rental start date. While we strive to deliver carts early in the day, factors like cart pick-ups, inspections, and cleaning for our next delivery take time, especially during peak season.

No, you do not need to be present. We will deliver the cart to your rental property and send you a text message to let you know it has been delivered.

We cannot guarantee specific delivery or pick-up times due to scheduling and logistics.

By 8 AM on your pick-up date, please ensure:

  • The cart is fully charged and the cord reel is rolled up and put on the back of the cart.
  • The key must be in the cup holder.
  • The cart is parked at the rental address associated with your reservation.
  • Leave the cart parked where it can't be blocked in by the cleaning crews.
  • All personal belongings are removed from the cart and any trash or debris is cleaned out.

Driving, Parking & Charging

Golf carts can be driven only within the Carillon Beach community and must follow all posted traffic rules. Driving outside of Carillon Beach is prohibited. You are able to take the cart to the beach walkovers, pools, and amenities. Please see our Carillon Beach Golf Cart Map for reference.

  • Homes in Carillon Beach: Park the cart in the driveway or designated gravel parking area of the house. Do not park on sidewalks, grass, or community pathways. Do not block other driveways.
  • Carillon Beach Inn: Use our 2 designated golf cart parking spots near the Inn - right across from the main doors in the parking lot (look for our signs). These spaces should be used for charging if needed. You are also permitted to park the golf cart in the regular parking spots outside of the Carillon Inn if charging isn't needed.
  • Sunset/Sunrise Condos in Carillon Beach: Use our designated parking circle by the condo pool for parking and charging. Our renters are allowed to use spaces 7-14 ONLY. If charging is not necessary, you may park in the regular parking spots in the condo parking lot.
  • Downtown Condos: You may park in the parking lot behind the Carillon Beach Gym and Shipwreck.
  • Parking in the community: Please park in the designated parking areas near the pools, parks, beach walkovers, and downtown area near the green. Be sure to never block any driveways or dumpsters when parking in Carillon. There is a golf cart parking lot across from the beach pool (Walkover #5).

  • Homes in Carillon Beach: Park the cart in the driveway of the home to charge it. Please use the provided charger and extension cord to charge your cart in an outdoor outlet at the home you are staying at. Carts should never be charged while parked in the
  • gravel areas.
  • Carillon Beach Inn: Use our 2 designated golf cart parking spots near the Inn - right across from the main doors in the parking lot (look for our signs). These spaces have provided outlets for charging. See below if those spaces are full.
  • Sunset/Sunrise Condos in Carillon Beach: Use our designated parking circle by the condo pool for charging. Outlets are provided at these spaces. Our renters are allowed to use spaces 7-14 ONLY.
  • Note: Any renter staying at the Downtown Condos, Carillon Inn, Sunset Condos, or Sunrise Condos are permitted to use spaces 7-14 in our circle for charging.

Issues & Troubleshooting

Many of our rental carts have lithium batteries and can "go to sleep". If there are any issues when starting the cart or if it doesn't turn on, please use the silver button on the dash or on the battery itself (under the seat). The red battery bar gauge below the hazard switch must be lit up. If there are no lights after turning the key, press and hold the silver button above to turn the cart back on! If the dash button does not work, there is a similar silver button on the side of the big battery under the seat.

If the cart is a Coastal Cars & Carts rental, feel free to contact us directly during business hours at (850)-999-7733, and we'll assist in resolving the issue.If it is outside of our business hours, Carillon Beach Property Patrol has access to our renter's contact information and keys to our rentals with the ability to move them. Carillon Beach Property Patrol can be contacted at (850)-596-1537.

First, double-check the area to ensure the cart wasn't accidentally moved or parked elsewhere by another person in your party. If you still can't find your cart, contact Coastal Cars & Carts immediately at (850)-999-7733 with your name, reservation details, and cart number. If it occurs outside of our business hours, notify Carillon Beach Property Patrol at (850)-596-1537. They have access to our current rental list and can look around the community for your rental cart number.
